In the U.S. alone, it is estimated that 120 fatalities and 50,000 injuries are prevented each year by compliance with “Lockout/tagout.” Your participation is the most important part of an effective energy control program. Following approved procedures, including using locks and tags when you are supposed to, may just save your or a co-worker’s life.
