Description
Job-related hearing loss continues to be an important workplace health issue. According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), approximately 30 million workers are exposed to hazardous noise. Over 10 million workers have suffered a permanent hearing loss, with noise induced hearing loss being the second most reported occupational injury. In order to get a better picture of how hearing loss affects us personally, this course will look at not only how hearing works, but also how hazardous noise exposure can affect your hearing. Most importantly this course will present you with some preventative measures that you can take to help avoid hearing loss.
